This fatal type of heart disease can be prevented just by taking steps the live a healthier life which you can do if you just decide to do it.

Bad Foods

The biggest contribution to heart disease is bad foods. Anything that has preservatives, high fats, sugars, and foods that do not have much nutritional value like convenience foods. These include candy, pastries, French fries, cakes, and fatty cuts of red meat all lead to coronary heart disease. Just change the diet to include fresh fruits, vegetables lean cuts of meat, cold water fish, and chicken and non-meat protein sources. Drink clean clear water cut back on the soda, tea and coffee.

Alcohol Consumption

The jury is still out on this one as to whether it is a cause for heart disease or not. You always hear the story that a little red wine in moderation prevents the disease and too much causes it. When alcohol consumption caused so many other health problems why take the chance. The better choice is to just not drink any alcohol at all.

Smoking Does Cause Coronary Heart Disease

Smoking does cause coronary heart disease and many other health problems as well. The physical addiction is not anywhere near as bad to brake as the habit. The habit is the million and one reasons you light up without thinking this part may never be broken in some cases. But you can learn how to quit smoking on your own or with stop smoking aids. Almost the very day you quit smoking your risk of heart disease cuts in half. The recovery from stopping is very fast and the damage begins to reverse in as fast as 30 minutes your blood pressure begins to return to normal.

Being Sedentary is a High Risk

A sedentary life doubles the risk of coronary heart disease. Just taking a fast walk 3 times a risk almost completely removes the sedentary life risk. If you do not want to walk or go to the gym and work out try a Wii Fit you can do it in your home and it is fun for young and old alike. It is always a good idea to work out what you plan to do for exercise with your medical professional first before beginning a routine.
